Three Day Workshops
Thursday, Friday and Saturday
5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The Three Day Workshop is an intensive three day program for new and returning students to who wish to learn or brush up on a style of Flamenco. With small classes and personalized attention the Workshop aims to inspire the student through the study of short but appealing dances like the sevillanas and the tangos.

Workshop

with Emma Estrada

Workshop 1: June 17 to 19

Workshop 2: June 24 to 26

TANGOS-Most versions of the tangos are for fun, pleasure and pure joy and are called chico (light, happy) songs and dances. Some tangos are also called tientos canasteros (a flamenco term for wandering Gypsy basket weavers). The dance is generally sensual and exciting and more subtle than the rumba gitana, another flamenco dance with a similar rhythm.

Workshop 3: July 1 to 3

Workshop 4: July 8 to 10

SEVILLANAS-Believed to be an old Castilian folk dance, it is very popular dance in Spain for couples of all ages. It is also danced frequently with colourful costumes at the time of the town's celebrations. Though not of the traditional flamenco school, it is a fun introduction to Spanish dancing and a pre-requisite for serious flamenco students.

*Class Fees:     Php 2,250 for each workshop, minimum 6 students per workshop
(class schedules are subject to change without notice)
